When you make a cracker as distinctive and unusual as Dr. Kracker, you need a distinctive, unusual artist to succinctly express its essence. Who better for the job than Jad Fair?
The singer/guitarist/co-founder of the legendary punk rock band Half Japanese, Jad has collaborated with Yo La Tengo, Teenage Fanclub and Daniel Johnston. He is also a prolific visual artist; his paper cuttings and drawings have been shown in galleries in NYC, Tokyo, Berlin, London, San Francisco, and his hometown of Austin, Texas. A book of Jad's artwork, "Blue Skies and Monsters" was published in 2006 by Map.
When Dr. Kracker friend and freelance writer Madeleine Berenson had the idea for this video, Jad Fair immediately came to mind as the one to bring it to life. And that he did!
